Winter Storm Watch has been put into effect in our area, here is a weather update from our consultant.
Light snow will begin in your area between 5-7pm Friday. Snow will increase overnight with periods of moderate/heavy snow possible for the morning and possibly early afternoon hours on Saturday. Snow will taper off in the late afternoon and should end 6-8pm Saturday. Snowfall amounts of 6-10″ are expected based on the current expected track. Look for north-northeast winds of 15-25 mph gusting 40-45 mph developing late Friday night/early Saturday. Winds will remain strong through the day on Saturday but they will switch to the northwest in the mid to late afternoon. Winds will diminish some Sunday morning but you may still see gusts of 35-40 mph during late morning and early afternoon before winds diminish further. Look for low temperatures in the upper teens Friday night and high temperatures on Saturday in the middle to upper 20s.
