Robertsville Firefighters participated in an annual demonstration and hands on lesson for the Marlboro Middle School Public Safety Club. Along with our colleagues from Marlboro Fire Co. #1, we lectured and demonstrated the job of a Volunteer Firefighter for a group of students who participate in this year’s (third annual) after school Public Safety Club. It is comprised of student’s in eight grade from both middle schools. Many of these students have interest in the field of law enforcement, EMS, for firefighting and some just want to see what these careers are about. It is the hope of Township first responders to jolt interest early in these young lives to someday boost volunteer manpower. The students experience three days of demonstrations in Law Enforcement, 3 with EMS, and 3 with local fire departments.
