Line of Duty Death

 August 12, 2021

The Robertsville FD would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to our brother and sister firefighters in Maryland. On August 11, 2021 Captain Josh Laird, 21 year member of Engine 251, Frederick County MD was injured at a house fire in Ijamsvilee, and later succumbed to his injuries. Captain Laird, entered the home and fell from the floor into the basement. The injured firefighter was transported on a stretcher and loaded into a helicopter. Laird was transferred to Georgetown University Hospital burn department. No one was home when the fire broke out. Preliminary investigations showed that the fire in the house was caused by lightning. May he rest in internal peace. Career Firefighters Association of Frederick County, MD Local 3666 @frederickfirel3666 #thinredline #lodd
