Fire Prevention Week (October 5th-11th, 2014)

This week is Fire Prevention Week, recognized across the United States as a time to focus on what sometimes gets forgotten throughout the year. FIRE SAFETY and PREVENTION.

Plan a dinner-time discussion with your family about different aspects of fire prevention and fire safety this week. In a life or death situation, a plan can save lives! Discuss: Working smoke alarms, smoke alarm location, evacuation plans, meeting locations, appliance safety, cooperation with firefighters, use and proper use of 9-1-1, stop/drop/roll, and when to recognize an emergency with your family.

Visit http://www.nfpa.org/  for plenty of information, suggestions, kids activities, and more! Don’t forget to visit Robertsville Volunteer Fire Company’s ANNUAL FIRE PREVENTION OPEN HOUSE! This Saturday October 11th from 10:00am to 2:00pm at our station at 94 County Route 520 in Morganville (Marlboro Township). (Parking will be across the street on Crest Drive).
