Seasons Greetings

 January 1, 2015

We, the members and officers of the Robertsville Volunteer Fire Company #1, would like to wish you and yours a happy and healthy New Year. We hope that your holiday season was safe and enjoyable. We have tallied up the totals for the year ending 2014. We answered 258 calls for service, up 15% from 2013. Members logged in 9+ drills and trainings as well as more than 42 truck checks and work details. That's a lot of man hours! Thank you to everyone for their hard work at another successful year at our station.

January brings changes around the firehouse. Our new line officers for 2015 will be sworn in at our annual installation dinner on January 10th.

They are:

President Matt Malloy, Vice President [to be determined at later date], Secretary [to be determined at later date], and Treasurer Sy Ruditsky.

Let Us Remember 25 years ago today...

On February 26, 1993, terrorists drove a rental van into a parking garage under the World Trade Center’s twin towers and lit the fuses on a homemade bomb stuffed inside. Six people died and more than 1,000 were injured in the massive explosion, which carved out a crater several stories deep and propelled smoke into the upper reaches of the skyscrapers. At the time, it was one of the worst terrorist attacks ever to occur on U.S. soil.

Lived through it made it out was a horrible day for this country. 🇺🇸

I worked at 1 WFC. I was out sick that day. My coworkers said the blast knocked the clocks off the walls of my office across the street
